Generosity defined the first community of Christians as an act of worship in the book of Acts.  It was their radical generosity that demonstrated the reality that the gospel changes lives.  In reference to money, Paul wrote, “Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” (2 Corinthians 9:6).

At Trinity our demonstration of this generosity takes many forms.  We want to steward our finances and give sacrificially to the local body, as well as missionaries all over Europe.  We also desire to open our homes to others, give time to build new relationships, or serve the body of Christ and our community.  Living and working in a transient and foreign community means being generous in unique ways.   

The offering is a vital part of our response to God’s grace provided for us in the preaching of his word and administration of communion. Our tithes and offerings represent the consecration of our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and the coming of His kingdom to this world. As God’s grace is freely given to us, so our gifts are freely returned.  They are a response to the work of Christ’s atoning work on the cross.
